Deutsche Grammophon releases the live video recording of Donizetti's "Anna Bolena" at the Wiener Staatsoper

The live video recording of Donizetti's "Anna Bolena" at the Wiener Staatsoper, starring Anna Netrebko in the title role, Elina Garanca as Jane Seymour, Ildebrando d'Arcangelo as Henry VIII, Francesco Meli as Lord Percy and Elisabeth Kulman as Smeton, will be released by Deutsche Grammophon as DVD ( 2 DVD) on 14. Oct 2011 and as Blu-Ray (1 Blu-Ray Disc) on 4. Nov 2011.

Deutsche Grammophon releases the album "Anna Netrebko - Live at the Metropolitan Opera"

Deutsche Grammophon releases the album "Anna Netrebko - Live at the Metropolitan Opera".

The CD, which will be released on 16. Sep 2011, includes works by Prokofiev, Mozart, Bellini, Donizetti, VerdiGounod, Offenbach and Puccini.

Anna Netrebko sings with top opera singers such as Dimitri Hvorostovsky, Juan Diego Florez, Roberto Alagna, Joseph Calleja and Piotr Beczala.

Valery Gerviev, Sylvain Cambreling, Placido Domingo and James Levine conduct the Metroplitan Opera Orchestra.

Live At The Met features excerpts from live performances on the Met stage from La Boheme, Don Giovanni, War &Peace, I Puritani, Les Contes d'Hoffmann, Romeo etJuliette, Don Pasquale and Lucia di Lammermoor.

Deutsche Grammophon signs new exclusive recording agreement with Anna Netrebko

Deutsche Grammophon has signed a new exclusive recording agreement with the star soprano Anna Netrebko.

Michael Lang, Deutsche Grammophon’s President, said: “Our long-term partnership with Anna has created the most inspired, beautiful, and artistic recordings. We are thrilled to continue this tradition with such a superb artist.”

Deutsche Grammophon launches the microsite "Stabat Mater: A Tribute To Pergolesi"

Deutsche Grammophon, the yellow label for opera and classical music, has just launched the promotional microsite "Stabat Mater: A Tribute To Pergolesi" featuring the new recording starring Anna Netrebko, Marianna Pizzolato and the Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia conducted by Antonio Pappano.

Two versions of the new recording are presented: a standard edition and a prestige edition. While the standard edition includes a CD, the prestige edition (shown on the pic above), carefully designed and presented in a mini-book format as it was done in special editions of previous albums, includes a CD+DVD. The bonus DVD includes a "Behind the Scenes" filmed at the Baden-Baden recording session and at a London photo shoot, as well as the following music clips:

Pergolesi: Stabat Mater will be released by Deutsche Grammophon on 18. March 2011

Deutsche Grammophon will release Pergolesi: Stabat Mater and other works, starring Anna Netrebko, Marianna Pizzolato and Antonio Pappano conducting the Ochestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, on 18. March 2011.

The recording was done in Baden-Baden in July 2010.

Deutsche Grammophon will release a standard CD Edition and a CD+DVD Special De-luxe Edition.

Deutsche Grammophon releases the new album of Anna Netrebko on 26. Mar 2010

Deutsche Grammophon will release the new album of Anna Netrebko, "In the Still of Night" on 26. March 2010.

The album is a live recording of the recital given by Anna Netrebko, accompanied by Daniel Barenboim at the piano, at the Grosses Festspielhaus on 17. Aug 2009, during the Salzburger Festspiele.

The album contains the full program performed at the Liederabend in Salzburg, the first part devoted to Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, the second part devoted to Piotr I. Tchaikovsky and two encores by Antonín Dvorák and Richard Strauss.

A limited hardcover Deluxe Edition, including an enhanced 60 page booklet with extensive information on the repertoire and the composers, text of the songs and their translation in English, German and French, an interview with Anna Netrebko about the Salzburg recital and the repertoire and extensive new photo material, will be released.

Deutsche Grammophon has launched a special microsite devoted to the new album "In the Still of Night". The special microsite contains information about the album, the track list, press quotes, gallery, etc.

Deutsche Grammophon has launched a videoclip in their Youtube channel, where Anna Netrebko and Daniel Barenboim talk about this new album, how the idea came out, the repertoire by Rimsky-Korsakov and Tchaikovsky, the difference between their songs, the importance to have a good translation in english and german, etc. At the end of the videoclip, Barenboim talks about how unique and extraordinary is Anna Netrebko.

Deutsche Grammophon announces the release of the CD "In the Still of Night"

Deutsche Grammophon announces the release of the CD "In the Still of Night" by Anna Netrebko and Daniel Barenboim at the piano. The album was recorded live at the Grosses Festspielhaus on 17. Aug 2009, during the Salzburger Festspiele. The track list has been already published on the Deutsche Grammophon website and the album contains the full program performed at the Liederabend in Salzburg, the first part devoted to Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, the second part devoted to Piotr I. Tchaikovsky and two encores by Antonín Dvorák and Richard Strauss. A limited hardcover edition will be also released.

The album will be internationally released on 26. Mar 2010. On 29. Mar 2010 Anna Netrebko and Daniel Barenboim will give a recital, with the same program of the recital given at the Salzburger Festpiele, at the Philharmonie, Berlin as part of the Festtage 2010.
