Anna Netrebko will make her role debut as la Contessa in a new Philipp Himmelmann's production of Mozart's masterpiece Le Nozze di Figaro at the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden with Luca Pisaroni in the title role, Mojca Edmann as Susanna and Erwin Schrott as il Conte di Almaviva. Thomas Hengelbrock conducts the Balthasar Neumann Orchestra and Choir.

Four performances are scheduled on 17., 20., 23. and 26. May 2013. Ticket prices range from 93 to 310 Eur.

Anna Netrebko attended yesterday's performance of Claus Guth's production of Mozart's "Le Nozze di Figaro" at the Salzburger Festspiele, starring Simon Keenlyside as Il Conte Almaviva, Genia Kühmeier as La Contessa Almaviva, Marlis Petersen as Sussana and Erwin Schrott as Figaro.

After the performance Anna, who was very relaxed, was talking with the fans.

Anna Netrebko and Erwin Schrott as the Countess and Count in Mozart's "Le Nozze di Figaro" in 2013 in Wien

Austrian magazine NEWS publishes that Anna Netrebko and Erwin Schrott will be together as the Countess and the Count in Mozart's "Le Nozze di Figaro" at the Wiener Staatsoper in 2013. Schrott, who recently got the spanish nationality, is so happy about that: "It will be like fireworks on the stage - Anna and I fighting on the stage as the Countess and the Count. We will try it fist in Baden-Baden and then in Wien".

Anna Netrebko made her opera debut as Susanna in Mozart's "Le Nozze di Figaro" at the Mariinsky Theater, St. Petersburg on 5. April 1994. It was a personal decission of Valery Gergiev to give her such an extraordinary first opportunity, singing such an important role, when she was just 22 years old.
